Training & Support for Foster Carers

There is an expectation at TLC Wales that our professional foster carers will commit to training in order to deliver the highest standards of care to our Looked After Children. Therefore, our dedicated training manager has developed a comprehensive rolling training programme tailored to develop the confidence and skills of our carers.

We offer an extensive training programme, which is available to all approved carers, as well as individual specialist training that has been designed to meet the needs of specific children and young people placed with carers.  We also offer training that is easily accessible on-line.

Carers with TLC also have the opportunity to undertake training to diploma level.
